Accessibility
The Arsht Center is committed to offering an inclusive and welcoming experience for all guests. In addition to providing accessible seating for all performances and events, we offer services for our guests who are deaf, hard of hearing, blind or have low vision. Assistive listening devices are available at no cost for all performances. Sign language interpretation, open captioning and audio description is offered at select performances.

Wheelchair and Swing-Arm Seat Locations

When you add a wheelchair accessible or swing arm seat to your cart, companion seat locations will become available for you to purchase. Wheelchair/Accessible Ticketing Policy
It is prohibited for anyone, other than those requiring the accessible features of a seat or that of a guest's companion to use accessible seating locations (unless the area has been released for general seating). Those purchasing wheelchair accessible seating may purchase one (1) wheelchair accessible seat and up to three (3) companion seats; any additional seats must be purchased in the regular seating areas. This policy ensures that we are able to accommodate all available and accessible wheelchair seats in our theaters.
Service Animals
- Service animals as defined by the American with Disabilities Act are permitted into the theaters and must be under the control of its handler at all times.
- A service animal must sit under the guest’s seat or at his/her feet.
- Service animals are not permitted to sit in the aisle or on seats.
- A guest whose service animal poses a threat to the safety of other Adrienne Arsht Center guests and/or staff may be asked to escort the animal off the premises.
Infrared Assistive Listening Devices
These devices amplify and clarify sound for patrons who are hard of hearing. There is no charge for the use of the headset. If you wish to use one of these headsets during your visit, please see the House Manager in the lobby.
Audio description and assistive listening equipment is funded by Mary & Sash Spencer and the Miami-Dade County Mayor and the Board of County Commissioners, the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs and the Cultural Affairs Council.
American Sign Language Interpretation (ASL)
A team of professionally certified ASL interpreters provide a sign language-interpreted performance, in addition to a pre-show overview and introduction. Offered at select performances.
Audio Description (AD)
Listen through an assistive listening device (ALD) to trained audio describers as they provide a live, objective and succinct description of the action and visual elements of the performance, without interfering with dialogue. Offered at select performances.

Open Captioning (OC)
Spoken dialogue scrolls across a digital screen as the action occurs on stage. Offered at select performances.
Touch Tours (TT)
For our patrons who use the audio description service, a Touch Tour enhances the experience by being able to touch costumes and props before the performance. Offered at select performances.
Accessible Parking Options
By law, guests with a current accessible parking tag may use public street parking up to 4 hours at no charge.

The Arsht Center is committed to making our presentations accessible to everyone by providing reasonable accommodations to Arsht Center policies for guests who may need aids and services to enjoy our presentations, when practicable. There may be occasions when requests for accommodations that would require us to fundamentally alter the nature of the performances, goods or services being offered may be declined. These would be addressed on a case-by-case basis and may include medical devices whose operation could affect the delivery of the performance from the stage to the audience, guest behavior that is disruptive to performances, and service animals that are not properly trained.
