Founded in 1904, the LSO has a reputation for uncompromising quality and inspirational beauty. This year marks the beginning of an exciting new era for the venerable orchestra when it welcomes new chief conductor Sir Antonio Pappano, a frequent LSO guest conductor since 1996, long acclaimed for his charismatic leadership and inspirational performances of symphonic and operatic repertory.
